BIOGRAPHY

My name is Ishika Shanai.

I create digital illustrations and animate them from my studio in Toronto, Canada.

In 2024, I completed a BFA (Honours) in Experimental Animation at OCAD University.

As an instructional designer during my time at the Canada Revenue Agency, I’ve developed engaging educational content—videos, games, and interactive experiences—for web and mobile.

I approach design as a form of problem-solving — using illustration, motion, and visual storytelling to communicate ideas clearly and creatively. My work isn’t just about making things look good; it’s about finding visual solutions that serve a purpose, support the message, and make intricate ideas easy to understand.

Whether it's for games, animation, or interactive experiences, I focus on how visuals can bridge gaps, guide users, and bring clarity to ideas.
